Wood for Construction

Good things are close at hand. Wood is not only grown locally, but is also available in large amounts in Germany. Almost a third of the country is covered by woodland and forests. In a European comparison, the stock of trees is even greater than in Sweden and Finland.

To ensure that wood fulfils high requirements, it must be prepared in an optimum manner. This primarily means adequate drying in order to reduce the humidity from an original 50 per cent to below 15 per cent. Wood of this quality lasts for generations.
